OVERVIEW:
Adult Rehabilitation Services at Providence Everett Medical Center provides care in their acute care hospital (Colby campus), 19 bed CARF-accredited Inpatient rehabilitation facility (Pacific campus) and a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic (Pacific campus). The teaching department serves therapy students from all rehabilitation disciplines. The department works in a primary therapist model, and therapists determine the length, frequency and duration of services needed by the persons they serve.

Acute Care

• Providence Everett Medical Center (PEMC) is one of the nation's "Top 100" hospitals, and the only one in WA State, reflecting commitment to excellence in clinical care.
• Nationally recognized for cardiac care and Stroke Center of Excellence.
• Emergency Department is the second-busiest in the state, and generates a steady volume of persons with challenging diagnoses requiring rehabilitation.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility

• CARF-accredited since 1980, reflecting commitment to high quality, evidence-based rehabilitative care.
• Serves a neurologic-based patient population, primarily stroke, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, spinal cord Injury, and multi-trauma, multi-medical.
• Supportive, energetic team approach.
• Therapists work collegially, providing co-treatments when necessary, with strong involvement of rehabilitation nursing. Over 50% of RNs have CRRN certification.

Outpatient PT, OT & SLP

• A strong team of specially trained professionals treats a primarily neurologic patient population, while maintaining competency in vestibular and balance, orthopedic, and upper extremity/hand rehabilitation.
• SLPs provide speech/language, voice, communication and dysphagia care, including VFSS and Vital Stim interventions.

Everett is located just 30 minutes north of Seattle's progressive cultural scene, but surrounded by great natural beauty - Puget Sound for kayaking, sailing, beachcombing and boating and spectacular mountains for ski and snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, climbing and camping.
